To meet the requirements of current and future desktop computers, SilverStone created the Strider Gold S series power supplies. The Strider Gold S models are all new designs engineered to be the smallest, full-modular ATX power supplies at any wattage levels. The Strider Gold S series includes wattage range from 550W to 1500W for a great variety of applications. With short depth designs, all models in the series are among the world’s smallest full-modular ATX PSUs. In addition to 80 PLUS Gold level efficiency, the Strider Gold S PSUs are built to meet very high standards in electrical performance with ±3% voltage regulation, ±3% ripple & noise, and high amperage single +12V rail. Other notable features included are 24/7 40℃ continuous output capability, low-noise fan, and multiple sets of PCI-E cables. For users looking for a power supply with faultless combination of compact size, performance, efficiency, and quality, the Strider Gold S Series is the only choice.

Remark
Why use a 1500W power supply?

Designed for 80 PLUS Gold level of efficiency to reduce wasted heat and save on electricity.   100% modular cable design for use with short cable kit such as SilverStone’s PP05-E or for easy removal in a case with cable routed and tied down.

Flat cables have much greater flexibility to allow for tighter folding and management of cables.   180mm depth sets new standard for high wattage PSUs with modular cables.

±3% regulation and low ripple & noise performance for high stability.   Built-in 135mm fan has excellent airflow and low noise, perfect for quiet home or office use.

A:

If your computer is tripping the circuit breaker that means it is drawing too much power from one outlet. Please do the following:

1. Please make sure the computer is plugged directly into the wall outlet and do not use extension socket or other multiple outlet extension cords with the computer.

2. If the use of extension socket is necessary, avoid combined usage with other higher powered household appliances such as TV, audio amplifier, etc…

3. Contact your local electrician for information on how you can upgrade your house to accommodate higher electrical draw.

A:The additional 4 pin connector is a sense relay, its main function is to help keep +3.3V, +5V, and +12V’s voltage regulation within ±3%. If you do not use it, the power supply can still functional normally, but with slight increase in voltage regulation range (but well within Intel’s ATX spec. of ±5%). You should connect this 4pin connector to the socket located above the 24 pin receptacle (pic 2). Pic 3 shows how the cables look when properly connected.
