Optional rackmount handles
Rackmount handles cannot support the entire weight of the chassis, rackmount tray or other support must be used in conjunction.
A: Please check and see if the connector wire behind the VFD is touching the solder points behind the circuit board. If so, please separate them by taping the wire down or place non-conductive material in between the wires and the circuit board.
Q. Why can't I use some of the higher-end cards in the LC16M?
A: Due to the center-mounting optical drive design, the space for longer graphics cards are limited to approximately 225mm assuming the optical drive used is 160mm long. The following are the length of the various cards for reference:
AMD Radeon HD 4870/4850 = 235mm
NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT/9600GT/GTO = 230mm
NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT = 175mm
AMD Radeon HD 4670/4650 = 170mm
Q. Does included VFD/IR work with Microsoft's Windows MCE (Media Center Edition)?
A: The VFD/IR and remote control in the LC16M will work automatically with Windows MCE after the included software & driver (on a CD) is installed. Microsoft's Media Center remote control and keyboard are also compatible with CL16M's built-in VFD/IR module after software is installed.
Q. I cannot get the VFD to work
A: Please check the following: - update to the latest iMON driver at http://www.silverstone-usa.com/software/ - make sure your VFD is getting power by checking to see if the 4pin floppy power cable is properly connected to the ATX powerup adapter - try connecting the USB cable from the VFD into another available USB pin header or port(if you are using USB add-on card, please connect directly to your motherboard¡¦s USB port instead) - try disconnecting the power cord from your system for about half an hour and restart again If you are still unable to get the VFD to work, please remove the VFD panel from the case and try again. If this works, please reinsert the VFD panel back into the case carefully by adding a non-conductive washer or material to prevent the VFD from shorting against the case. If the error persists, please contact a SilverStone branch office closest to you for assistance in replacing your VFD panel.
Q. My VFD is showing, Unregistered RC signal
A: Please check the following: http://www.silverstone-usa.com/software/
- you maybe using a button that is not yet been programmed to work, please enter the remote setup menu and add a
function to the button you wish to use
- press on the remote button you wish to use repeatedly to assist IR in learning
the signal from the remote control
If you are still getting the "Unregistered RC signal," please remove the IR panel from the case and
try again. If this works, please reinsert the IR panel back into the case carefully by adding a
non-conductive washer or material to prevent the IR from shorting against the case. If the error persists,
please contact a SilverStone branch office closest to you for assistance in replacing your IR panel.
Q. I cannot power up my system with the remote control
A:
Please make sure you have connected the ATX powerup
adapter properly to both the VFD's 4pin floppy
power cable and to your power supply.
(4pin floppy power cable connected to ATX powerup adapter)
Q. My hotkeys are not working.
A:
- Make sure the connection from your hotkeys to your
motherboard USB pins is correct (please refer to your motherboard manual).
- You should check in your motherboard BIOS that all USB ports are enabled.
- Check to see all USB ports are working correctly in Window's device manager
(there should be no question marks next to any listed USB devices).
- Try connecting the hotkeys connector to other USB pin headers available on the motherboard.
- You must be running in Windows Me, 2000, or XP
- The buttons will work only with software players that have the same keyboard
actuated function as windows media player.
- If you already have hotkeys on other devices (such as ones on multimedia or
wireless keyboards), you may need to turn off or disable their software. Using
Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite keyboard as an example, you need to disable
"Program Files\Microsoft IntelliPoint\point32.exe" and "Program Files\Microsoft
IntelliType Pro\type32.exe". However doing this will also disable the hotkeys on the keyboard.
- Try dismounting the hotkey module and use washers between the screw mounting points for the module.
Q. Do you have a driver for the integrated cardreader, and is the cardreader compatible with 64-bit Operating System.(LC16MR)
A: Both Windows XP and Vista 64-bit will recognize the card reader automatically and self-install driver for it.
Q. The iMON device disconnection problem with game controller.
A: Please refer to the PDF file.
Q. How do I connect the front I/O and card reader cables?
